Honestly, it began with frustration. Rhiannon had spent years watching businesses make decisions based on gut feeling or overly complex spreadsheets that nobody really understood. The financial modeling tools available were either too simplistic or required a PhD in mathematics.
So she started building something different. Not just another forecasting tool, but a way to help business owners see their options clearly. What happens if we expand? What if the market shifts? What if that big contract falls through?
By 2021, word had spread. Companies across NSW were asking for help with their strategic planning. We realized we'd stumbled onto something that Australian businesses genuinely needed – practical scenario modeling that makes sense in real-world situations.

Before starting calystronaveo, Rhiannon spent eight years helping mid-sized manufacturers navigate expansion decisions. She has this knack for spotting the financial risks that others miss – probably because she's seen so many businesses learn the hard way. Her scenario models tend to be conservative, which clients appreciate when they're making big decisions.
Isadora Chen-Walsh
Senior Scenario Analyst
Isadora joined us in 2022 after working in corporate strategy for a major Sydney consultancy. She brings a different perspective – more optimistic about growth opportunities, better at spotting market trends that others might dismiss. Her background in behavioral economics means she thinks about how people actually make decisions, not just what the numbers suggest they should do.
We work with businesses across Australia, but we're still based in Wollongong. There's something about being outside the major financial centers that keeps us grounded. We understand regional business challenges because we live them. And when Sydney or Melbourne clients visit, they're often surprised by how practical and straightforward our approach is.
